Yes. Ultrasounds are non-invasive and safe. Our sonographers follow all guidelines to ensure a secure and professional scan.
1. Best time to book
• The ideal time for a 3D/4D scan is 26–32 weeks.
• At this stage, baby has more defined facial features and still enough space to move.
2. Stay well hydrated
• Drink plenty of water in the 5–7 days before your scan (not just on the day).
• Good hydration helps improve image clarity by increasing amniotic fluid quality.
3. Eat something sweet or light
• About 30–60 minutes before your scan, have a light snack or something sweet (juice, fruit, chocolate).
• This can help encourage baby to move and change position.
4. Avoid heavy meals
• Large meals right before your scan may make you uncomfortable and can reduce baby’s movement.
5. Wear comfortable clothing
• Two-piece outfits are best for easy access to your tummy.
6. Come relaxed
• Stress and tension can affect baby’s position. Take a few deep breaths and enjoy the experience.
7. Be flexible
• Sometimes baby may be shy or facing the wrong way.
• Walking, gentle movement, or a short break can help reposition baby.
